Structure of HAS03 hashing algorithm

The article describes the structure of the developed hashing algorithm HAS03. It also discusses therelevance of hash algorithms and the general requirements for them. Most modern hashing algorithms are based on block algorithms and sponge structures. The considered algorithm belongs to the second group, in which the structure consists of an internal state of a fixed length and stages of absorbing and squeezing. The size of the internal state of the algorithm is 1024 bits, the soak and squeeze steps are performed using the function. The paper describes the transformations used in the function and their results are step by step reflected in a real example. One of the mandatory properties of cryptographic hashing algorithms is the presence of an avalanche effect. The results of thestudy showed that this hashing algorithm fully meets the criteria for the avalanche effect. An algorithm is cryptographically strong if the probability of finding a collision and a preimage is very small. Therefore, research in this direction is actively continuing.
