Enr50 Polymer Coated For Fbg Sensor Towards Pressure Applications

This paper presents a modified design a novel high-sensitivity pressure sensor, which is based on the use of a fiber Bragg grating (FBG) coated with an Epoxidized Natural Rubber 50 (ENR50). The measure pressure sensitivity of the fractional change in the Bragg wavelength of our experimental sensor is 〖1.138 x 10 〗^6MPa^(-1) which is 5.63 x 〖10〗^11 times higher than that can be achieved with a bare FBG sensor. The linearity of the FBG sensor also perfects. However, the experimental result not as good as per theoretical value which is 2.127 〖x 10 〗^(-8) MPa^(-1)because of a few limitations. This sensor is suitable for low pressure applications. In this letter, we propose a new FBG pressure sensor, which has significantly enhanced pressure sensitivity. The pressure sensitivity of our theoretical value is as high as 〖1.138 x 10 〗^6 MPa^(-1), which is 5.63 x 〖10〗^11 larger than sensitivity of bare FBG -2.02 x 〖10〗^(-6) MPa^(-1).
