The World as we know is increasing by the day, each day there is an addition in the population of the world hence the increase in Agricultural produce is key to man’s survival. In the next 20 – 50yrs the world must produce more food but unfortunately we are currently using resources 50% faster than the planet can sustain. Agriculture is an important tool for growth and development in any Nation as any country that can’t feed itself is considered poor, Nigeria is Africa’s most populous black nation with a population of over 170 million and Agriculture providing jobs for over 30% of the country’s population, there is huge opportunities available in Agricultural activities in Nigeria with over 100 Food and cash crops with huge domestic food and industrial products application and with cassava projected to generate over $100Billion annually in Nigeria, efforts should be made to shift to Mechanized farming so as to increase produce, hence meeting the needs of the country’s growing population.
