Development Of Materials Effecting On Structural Character For Organic Solar Cells

Organic solar cells (OSCs) have come to the fore for renewable energy in recent decades because of lightweight, flexible, low-mass properties of the process, and use in potential small and large area applications. Over the last decades, the power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) of OSCs have commonly utilize bulk-heterojuntion (BHJ) structure that have been reached range from 1% to more than 10% using the single junction PSC devices. To obtain high performance materials, one of the most effective design strategies is introduce donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugation copolymers with alternating electron-rich (donor) and electron-deficient (acceptor) moieties. These D-A conformation can provide the important characteristic of tuning the energy levels, band gaps, thermal stability. The conjugated aromatic structure can improve intermolecular interaction, which have effect on the photovoltaic properties. So we designed and synthesized novel copolymers based on D-A conformation for organic photovoltaic materials.
