Rupture modulus of cement mortars with different types of fibers

In this paper, the results of experimental work on the rupture modulus of cement mortars with different types of fibers after exposure to 20 ℃, 100 ℃ and 300 ℃ were investigated. The experimental part of the work was divided to the following three phases: the effects of fiber types on the rupture modulus of cement mortars; the effects of sub-elevated temperatures on the rupture modulus of cement mortars containing fibers; finding a relation between the rupture modulus and compressive strength of the samples. The experimental tests were compressive and four-point bending tests at 20 ℃, 100 ℃ and 300 °C. In fact, all the specimens had the same mix proportions, and only the types of their fibers were different. It is worth noting that the fibers used in the mixtures were aramid, glass and basalt.
