High Gain Multistage Power Amplifier For Internet Of Things (iot) Application.

This paper presents the design of a linear power amplifier (PA) with high gain and low power consumption for Internet of Things (IOT) application. The gain of the PA is boosted by integrating a driver stage. The effect of Cgs capacitance is mitigated by utilizing a passive linearizer which improves the efficiency and linearity of the PA. The PA delivers more than 19dB power gain from 2.4GHz to 2.5GHz. At the 2.45GHz frequency, the PA produces a gain of 19.6dB, PAE of 29.71%, maximum output power of 15.9dBm , and OIP3 of 21dBm. The PA is supplied with voltage headroom of 1.8V. The proposed multistage PA with passive linearizer serves to be a good solution to improve linearity and the gain of a CMOS PA without trading off other critical parameters.
