Investigation Of The Effect Of Openings On The Behavior Of Arched Concrete Shear And Reinforced Walls Using Frp Fibers
|
In this study, the effect of reinforcement of FRP composite sheets on the final capacity of arched shear wall containing opening affected by the lateral loaded using the nonlinear static analysis of load increment by ABAQUS Limited Components software, has been investigated. In this research, in order to verify the accuracy of the numerical model, the results of a shear wall experiment were compared with the results obtained from the numerical analysis, and then the arched shear wall was examined and then openings with dimensions of 4.1, 1.3 and 1.2, the length and height of the wall have been added to investigate the effect of the opening on the displacement distribution, lateral hardness and lateral resistance in the shear wall. . It should be noted that in the first group, the arched shear wall with a dimensions of 1300 × 750 mm was modeled, then the second group was constructed based on the shear walls with small, medium and large openings, in which the openings locate in the backrest, middle, and the upper parts of the wall. In the third group, wall modeling containing the openings in the backrest range has been reinforced by the use of FRP fibers to study the rate of improvement of their behavior in the case of using FRP fibers as well. The results obtained from the analysis of numerical retrofitting models with composite sheets have shown that in the model with the opening in the dimension of one second length and height of the wall in the backrest part of the wall and the final capacity of the shear wall increased by 31% under the influence of lateral loading. The results have been presented in the tables and diagrams.
