The Effect Ethylene Glycol On Stabilization Of Green Synthesized Ag-nanoparticles

Recently, silver nanoparticles have become one of the most promising products in the nanotechnology industry because they have been widely used as anti-bacterial agents, textile coatings, and other applications in the environment. The main problem in the synthesis of silver nanoparticles is that it was easy to form agglomerations in colloidal systems that can easily precipitate. Therefore, a stabilizer is needed that can control the size of the colloidal silver nanoparticles. Stabilizers used in this study were the ethylene glycol groups. The results showed that stable colloids can be made at high concentrations for several months. The particle size indicated from the TEM was of ranges from 10 - 30 nm.
