Rainfall Trend Analysis in the Upper Citarum River Basin, Indonesia

In assessing the impacts of climate change on water resources plan and management, analysis of rainfall trends is essential. The present study was carried out with 18 years (1998-2016) daily rainfall data at sixteen rainfall stations to determine the trends in the annual rainfall, annual maximum 24-hour precipitation, and a number of rainy day over Upper Citarum river basin in Indonesia. The Mann-Kendall test and the Sen's Slope Estimator have been used to determine the trend and the slope. Results of the analysis revealed that approximately 85% of the rainfall stations experienced an increase in rainfall trends, whether annual precipitation, annual maximum 24-hour precipitation, and rainy days.
