Numerical Modeling Of Chokes Flow For Gas- Oil Two Phase Flow Of Oil And Estimation Of Critical Flow Rate

Introduction This document is about CFD simulation of two-phase flow in wellhead choke. Chokes are commonly used in oil and gas production systems. A choke is a restriction basically designed to control flow rates of oil and gas wells, to prevent the downstream disturbances from propagating upstream (criticalflow), and to protect the surface equipment facilities against slugging at high flowing pressures. Wide application of two-phase flows in different industrial part and fields which is related to the humen life, make scientists and reaserchers of the fluid mechanic study the details of these kinds of flows to get the best optimization of devices working with this issues. Every flowing well has some devices to control flow rate for maintaining sufficient back pressure to prevent formation damage, water gas coning, and to stable the flow rate and to produce the reservoir at the most efficient possible rate.
