Digital Forensic Model For A Scada System

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition Systems (SCADA) were developed with the main focus of supervising control systems. Because of their non networked nature there security against cyber threats was not considered as an issue. But with the hunger of making use of internet and other networked facilities these systems are now exposed to all of the possible cyber threats present out there. Digital forensics is always required when such cyber threats are present against system. Control systems in particular has a requirement of staying operational all the time so some special considerations are to be taken into account for digital forensics of such systems. This paper proposes a high level forensic model for SCADA system with the aim of not affecting its live nature.
