User Experienced Based Clustering For Opac Design

Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) is a digital catalog of libraries used to search library collections. It requires user friendly interface design to improve the user experience in searching the library collections. This research is performed to derive the user preferences of the OPAC user that can be used to generate user interface description for further development of OPAC interfaces. User preferences are collected through UIRE filled by the user, then from the UIRE data is generated user cluster. In this study, clustering is solved by using SOM algorithm, the data used is taken from 40 users, and produced 6 (six) clusters.
