Adsorption Of Chromium From Aqueous Solutions By Polyaniline /melamine/al2o3 Nanocomposite

In this study, absorption technology was intended to remove hexavalent chromium (VI) in¬ aqueous solutions due to low cost and simple efficiency [1, 2]. In order to increase the absorbent efficiency of nanocomposite, Poly Aniline was synthesized due to its environmental sustainability and ease of synthesis in the acidic medium of sugar beet leaf extract in which the procedure was in good agreement with synthesized poly-aniline in hydrochloric acid medium [3-4]. Polyaniline/Melamine/Al2O3 (PANI/M/Al2O3) nanocomposite was synthesized by in situ polymerization of aniline in the presence of melamine and Al2O3 catalysts then some adsorption parameters such as initial concentration effect of Cr(VI), PH, Adsorbent dose, and contact time were investigated [5]. Morphology and structure of the prepared nanocomposite was studied utilizing FT-IR spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, and Transmission electron microscope (TEM). For synthesis of poly (aniline) nanocomposite, we used both organic and inorganic acidic mediums. Result show that, FT-IR spectrum improved successful synthesis procedure and TEM image confirmed that adsorption capacity chromium (VI) increased when PH of medium decreased and dose rate of PANI/Melamine/Al2O3 nanocomposite increased.
